Reduced Risk or Surgery with Chiropractic

The numbers are unbelievable in a recent study that showed the difference when a injured patient sees a surgeon first.  What this evidence below points out is that for a hundred people that see a surgeon first, 43 will get surgery and only 1 or 2 will if they see the Chiropractor first.  This is clearly demonstrating the rampant unnecessary surgery that is occurring with the many risks of infection, complications and the potential to be addicted to Opioid painkillers like Hydrocodone, Oxycontin, Vicoden, Tramadol, Methadone, Morphine, etc.

“Reduced odds of surgery were observed for…those whose first provider was a chiropractor. 42.7% of workers [with back injuries] who first saw a surgeon had surgery, in contrast to only 1.5% of those who saw a chiropractor.”– Keeney et al (2012), Spine
